What forms of payment do you accept?

We bill monthly and take cash, checks, Zelle or credit cards (with an additional 3.75% service charge).  Invoices not paid IN FULL within 14 days of invoice will incur a 10% charge of your total bill. Late fees will continue to accrue an additional 10% of the total invoice + previous late fee for each subsequent week the invoice is not paid in full.

Payment for assessments and evaluations are expected to be paid in full before any physical report is provided.

Will your service be covered by my insurance?

We do not accept private insurances. Before contacting us, please call your insurance company to find out if you are eligible for out-of-network speech and language therapy and/or evaluation reimbursement. If your insurance company requests a pre-authorization letter, please ask your pediatrician. We do not accept insurance payments. You pay us directly and then you submit your monthly invoice for reimbursement. Your Language Lab balance is separate and apart from any insurance reimbursement you might receive. Please note that literacy sessions alone will not be reimbursed by your insurance.

How do I submit for out-of-network reimbursement?

We provide you with a monthly invoice (“super bill”) of your speech and language therapy services.  It will contain the necessary information including diagnosis and treatment codes, session date and length, fees paid, description of services provided, as well as pertinent provider information (tax ID, license number, etc.). Please note that if your insurance complany requires hand written session notes, there is no additional fee.  If typed session notes, with detailed information are required, that service will incur a $100/hour fee.

What does an evaluation entail?

Each language lab evaluation begins with a caregiver interview, both on the phone and in person, during which we ask questions about your child's developmental history. The therapist will then administer the appropriate standardized testing for your child at an in-office appointment. Together with the information gathered from the caregiver interview, testing scores, clinical observation during play and teacher report (if applicable) a plan and therapy goals specific to your child's needs will be put in place. Following the evaluation process a meeting will be scheduled with you to discuss the results and recommendations.

How long is a treatment session?

The duration of each treatment session is determined by your child's individual needs. Sessions are either 30 or 45 minutes in length. Your child may attend therapy more than once a week, again, depending on his or her specific needs.
